Lessons
Keiko believes that strong technique is the foundation for confident, expressive music-making. Her teaching goes beyond developing technical skills—it encourages artistic curiosity, thoughtful practice, and the confidence for each student to discover their own musical voice. Whether a student is pursuing a professional career or learning simply for the joy of music, Keiko strives to create a supportive environment where every individual can grow at their own pace.
Her students have earned top prizes at international competitions including the Menuhin Competition, Grumiaux Competition, Il Piccolo Violino Magico, and the Osaka International Music Competition. They have also been accepted to leading programs such as the Perlman Music Program, The Juilliard School (Pre-College and College Division), the Eastman School of Music, and the Oberlin Conservatory.
Keiko maintains a private violin studio in Upper Manhattan. Lessons at the student's home may also be arranged for an additional fee.
At Tokunaga Violin Studio, students of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and experience levels are welcome. Every student is encouraged to develop not only as a violinist, but also as a thoughtful, creative, and confident musician.

徳永慶子ヴァイオリンスタジオでは、生徒一人ひとりの個性を何よりも大切にしながら、豊かな表現力を育むための確かな基礎技術を身につけることを目指しています。技術を教えるだけではなく、「どんな音楽を奏でたいのか」「そのためにどのように考え、どのように練習すればよいのか」を自ら考えられる力を育て、生涯にわたって音楽を楽しみ、成長し続けられる音楽家を育てることを大切にしています。
これまでの教え子たちは、メニューイン国際ヴァイオリンコンクール、グリュミオー国際ヴァイオリンコンクール、イル・ピッコロ・ヴァイオリーノ・マジコ国際コンクール、大阪国際音楽コンクールなどで上位入賞を果たし、パールマン・ミュージック・プログラム、ジュリアード音楽院（プレカレッジ・学部）、イーストマン音楽院、オベリン音楽院などへ進学しています。
スタジオはニューヨーク・アッパーマンハッタンにあり、出張レッスン（別途料金）にも対応しております。
